
Have you thought about working as a learning support tutor in schools or FE colleges? Are you working as an LSA and wish to further develop your skills? Then this course is for you.
The course will cover values and principles which underpin learning support practice; you will further discuss roles, responsibilities and boundaries of the Learning support practitioner; You will continue to identify legislative and policy documents relevant to the role. You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the strategies to meet individual learning needs through the use of learning resources and effective communication with learners.
Please be prepared to provide your residency documents such as a passport, Evisa / Sharecode , UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK - your Visa or Biometric card that covers the duration of your course or any relevant home office documents to support your residency. For funding purposes we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits (e.g JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC).
Free unless earning over £27,007.50pa (then £144)
Once you have completed the course, you will have the opportunity to discuss with the course tutor the most appropriate progression routes onto further Teacher Training courses.
