About the Course

This Level 1 in Remote Working course is designed for people who wish to be (or who already are) self-employed. The course is delivered by Visionnaires Entrepreneurial Coaches who have their own businesses.

This course is awarded by SFEDI Awards. The Awarding Organisation for Enterprise.

Upon achievement and registration, currently, you will also have a 1-year free membership of IOEE (Institute for Entrepreneurs and Enterprise), expert advice from people who have business, also other free training courses to support business start-up.

This course will develop initial entrepreneurial skills needed for you to know the basics of what it means to be self-employed, whether as a sole trader, wanting to have a side hustle or set up your own business. This course will help you to understand what is involved and if it's right for you.

Turn your skills and hobbies into paid work, manage your own time and decide on hours that are convenient for you, whilst earning an income or additional income as a side hustle.

What Will I Study?

During this course, you will:

  • Explore how the world of work is evolving, including the benefits and challenges of self-employment, and whether it could be the right path for you.
  • Gain insight into the various digital work platforms available in the UK and how employment arrangements and payment systems typically function.
  • Build confidence in your own skills and understand how they align with remote and freelance opportunities.
  • Consider your personal and financial circumstances when deciding if independent work is a suitable option.
  • Learn how to create a standout profile, effectively showcase your skills, and successfully find, pitch for, and secure work, including on digital platforms.
  • Understand how to establish and maintain a sustainable career as a self-employed professional.
