Painting and Decorating - Introduction (Enfield Construction Skills Academy)

This painting and decorating course is designed as a basic insight into working in the painting and decorating field. It will give you the basic hand skills necessary to carry out small painting and decorating tasks.

Areas covered on the course may include:

• Awareness of health and safety used within painting and decorating
• Awareness and correct usage of tools, equipment and materials
• Preparation of surfaces to receive paint
• Application of oil and water-based paint systems
• Basic knowledge of paper-hanging

Please be prepared to provide your residency documents, such as a passport, Evisa / Sharecode, UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa, you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK and your EVisa or Biometric card covers the duration of your course or any relevant Home Office documents to support your residency. For funding purposes, we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits, please provide evidence of this also (e.g JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC).

Free unless earning over £28,860.000pa (then £75).

Upon successful completion of the course, you can progress into further study in this area.
