
This entry-level intensive provides a clear pathway into the world of coding. Over the course of 6 weeks, you will master the fundamentals of Go, a high-performance language developed by Google, and Git, the global standard for tracking and sharing code. This is a teacher-led program, meaning you will have direct support from instructors as you build your first scripts and learn the logic behind backend engineering.
You will learn:
Git Fundamentals: How to save, track, and manage different versions of your code.
Go Programming: Master the basic syntax and structures of the Go language.
Programming Logic: Learn the problem-solving skills required to write efficient algorithms.
Collaboration: How to use the Command Line Interface (CLI) and manage GitHub repositories.
Code Reliability: Learn how to identify and fix bugs (debugging) to ensure your programs run smoothly.
We welcome beginners who are curious and motivated! While no formal coding qualifications are required, you must meet the following criteria:
Skills: A basic appreciation of logic is essential. You must also have conversational English skills to follow technical instructions and collaborate with your team.
Age: You must be 19 years or older as of the course start date.
Location: You must currently live in a London borough.
Funding and Status: To qualify for this funded course, you must demonstrate your right to live and work in the UK and provide documentation regarding your income or benefits status.
