About the Course

This course is designed to deepen your understanding of digital marketing tools, strategies and workflow management by working on a real digital marketing campaign for a real business.

Through a structured, supportive approach, you will gain practical experience researching, developing, and executing digital marketing strategies for real clients.

Over 5 weeks, you’ll:

  • Create real campaigns for real businesses – work with real clients, pitch your ideas, design their campaigns
  • Learn SEO, social media, paid ads and email marketing - develop your campaign, from audience research to content strategy
  • Use industry tools like Canva, Trello & Google Analytics
  • Build a professional portfolio and prep for interviews - you will be supported to apply for paid internships and junior roles
     

Application process: You will undergo an interview to confirm that the course is suitable for you.

 

What Will I Study?

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and audience analysis to inform effective digital marketing strategies.
  2. Campaign Development: Create comprehensive digital marketing campaign strategies tailored to specific business needs.
  3. Content Creation: Develop attractive and engaging content tailored for various platforms and client objectives.
  4. Social Media Management: Gain knowledge in using social media tools, analysing metrics to track campaigns and setting KPIs. Utilise AI and algorithms to enhance campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
  5. Project Management: Gain an understanding of managing digital marketing projects, ensuring timelines are met, and best practices are followed in creative project management, including copywriting and data protection.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively in teams, brainstorm ideas, communicate effectively with peers and clients and present marketing strategies and campaigns confidently.
  7. Portfolio Development: Compile a strong portfolio of work showcasing the skills and knowledge gained throughout the program, giving students a competitive edge in the job market.
  8. Practical Application: Apply the skills, knowledge, and insights gained throughout the program to complete a final task, showcasing your ability to work independently and creatively.
  9. Self-Expression and Creativity: Develop and showcase innovative marketing campaigns, demonstrating mastery of digital marketing tools and techniques.
  10. Professional Growth: Enhance communication and presentation skills, receive constructive feedback for personal and professional development and receive employability support.

What Will I Need?

You must have a demonstrable interest in social media and digital marketing, seeking to work in this area.

Have a basic understanding of digital marketing principles and familiarity with social media platforms. No prior experience is required.

You should have basic communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a team.

You will need to be eligible to study in the UK. Upon enrolment, you will be asked to upload residency and income documents for college funding purposes. Learners must be 19+ adults who are GLA residents.

Cost

Free unless earning over £28,860pa (then £288).
