Capital City College students attend Higher Education Fair

Students meet representatives from 30 universities and explore Higher Education options at an event held at Capital City College’s Kings Cross centre.

Students from Capital City College (CCC) had the opportunity to meet university representatives and learn more about future academic pathways at a Higher Education Fair at the college’s King’s Cross centre.

The Higher Education Fair, which took place on 5 November, attracted over 900 students from CCC’s King’s Cross, Regent’s Park and Westminster centres.

During the event, students were able to speak to representatives from a diverse array of universities. The 30 universities in attendance included Russell Group universities such as King’s College, University of Exeter and University of Bristol as well as BIMM University, SOAS (The School of Oriental and African Studies), University of Westminster, City University, University of Greenwich, Nottingham Trent University and Confetti (Institute of Creative Technologies).

The fair was organised by Jennifer Oteng, Mike Evans, Chris Jarvis, Sharon Hartley and Nida Naqvio from CCC’s Careers and Employability team.

The event also welcomed back former CCC A Level student, Haneen Graoui, who is currently studying Biomedical and Healthcare Engineering at City University. Haneen returned as a student ambassador to support current CCC students with course information and first-hand insight into university life.

Mike Evans, Careers and Higher Education Lead, said: “Our annual HE Fair at King’s Cross is a key event in our careers calendar which brings together a broad range of providers for all our learners to access information, advice and guidance on higher education options available to them. It’s a great opportunity for learners to find out more about the variety of study programmes available to them and understand that higher education can also mean short courses and apprenticeships too!”
