
This qualification is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge needed to become an Early Years Educator. It prepares you to work with children from birth to age 5 and provides an understanding of child development up to age 7.
This course is designed to give you the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed to thrive as a professional in the early years sector. You will explore how to support the development, learning, and care of young children, preparing you to work confidently with children from birth to age 5 and to understand their development up to age 7.
Learners must be 19 years of age or older.
To undertake this qualification, you must be in either paid or voluntary work placement for a minimum of 300 hours (2 days per week from October to June) to ensure you gain the full breadth of experience required to complete this course effectively.
You will create a portfolio of evidence that is internally assessed and externally quality assured.

If you are not eligible for a free or reduced-cost course, you need to pay the full fee yourself, or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.
