This course is validated by the University of the Arts, London (UAL) and has been designed to help you pursue a career in the music industry, giving you intermediate skills in performance, composition and related activities. Building on your existing skills, you will be required to work at a semi-independent level, as you develop knowledge and experience in composition, mixing, recording, live performance and production.
Our music laboratories have industry-standard equipment, including Apple iMacs, equipped with Logic, Ableton, Midi Keyboards and fully functional recording studios with state-of-the-art mixing desks. There are opportunities to participate in live performances and you will study topics related to the music industry. There will also be visits, trips and work experience.

The course is assessed throughout the year with practical skills, presentation and with an end-of-course portfolio.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August prior to the start date of your course and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your programme then your study with us will be free. Please see here for the documents you will need to show us.

If you will be aged 19+ on 31st August prior to the start date of your course, up to Level 2, then your study with us will be free. You must have lived for 3 years within the EU/EEA/UK prior to the start of your course, you must have lived in the UK before 1st January 2021 and you must have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning. You could progress on to a Level 3 course at the college or go straight into employment in the recording industry.
