ABOUT

Whatever your plans for the future, the ability to use English well will help you. We offer a range of English courses to help you develop the language and communication skills you need for work and everyday life - even if you have been out of education for a while.

From complete beginners to GCSE, there will be a course at the right level for you. We will ask you to complete an assessment to help us choose the right level of teaching for you. Alongside the qualification, you will also complete a portfolio of English for work and study, helping you to develop skills such as effective communication, working together and looking at your personal and career development.

You will need a folder and paper, pens (including highlighters) and the use of a dictionary. Your tutor may recommend reference material that you may find useful during the course.

Functional Skills English

We offer Functional Skills courses at Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2. Functional Skills are widely recognised across all sectors of employment and can be a stepping stone to GCSE.
