This Level 2 course builds upon your previous knowledge, equipping you with the core technical knowledge and practical skills needed for further study and employment, teaching you how to install electrical systems and equipment.
This course is highly regarded by the industry and will support you with working towards qualified electrician status.

This course has been introduced to develop the skills necessary to pursue a career in the electrotechnical industry. As part of the qualification, you will cover the following areas:
The study programme consists of a vocational diploma, Maths and English, work experience and essential digital skills.
You will need:
All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
You will also need stationary, overalls and safety boots.
You will complete a number of online exams and classroom tests, as well as completing a range of practical assessments in the workshops.
If you will be aged 19+ on 31st August prior to the start date of your course, up to Level 2, then your study with us will be free. You must have lived for 3 years within the EU/EEA/UK prior to the start of your course, you must have lived in the UK before 1st January 2021 and you must have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning. After completing this course there are a number of options available; depending on your final grade you could move onto the Level 3 Technical or the Electrical Apprenticeship.
Opportunities also exist for learners moving into the new developing area of sustainability with courses on electrical charging, Solar and Photovoltaic systems.
Experienced electricians can expect to earn up to £50k a year.
