About the Course

This 12-week short course is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of 3D printing and Dungeons and Dragons game design. Throughout the course, students will learn how to create their own 3D-printed game pieces, terrain, and props, as well as how to design their own Dungeons and Dragons adventures using popular game design software.

During the first few weeks of the course, students will be introduced to the basics of 3D printing, including an overview of different printing methods and materials, as well as how to use design software to create their own 3D models. Students will also learn how to optimize their models for printing and will have the opportunity to print their own creations.

In the latter half of the course, students will focus on designing and building their own Dungeons and Dragons adventures using popular game design software. They will learn how to create compelling storylines, build intricate game worlds, and design challenging encounters for their players. They will also learn how to incorporate their 3D-printed models and terrain into their games, adding a new level of immersion and realism to their campaigns.

Throughout the course, students will work on various hands-on projects, including designing and printing their own game pieces, building terrain, and creating their own Dungeons and Dragons adventures. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in both 3D printing and game design and will have the skills necessary to continue exploring these exciting fields on their own.
