Supported internships are structured study programmes based primarily with employers. They enable young people aged 16-24 with a statement of SEN, or an Education, Health and Care plan to achieve sustainable paid employment by equipping them with the skills they need through learning in the workplace.
You will receive high support to move into paid employment at the end of the programme. Alongside your time with the employer, you will complete a personalised study programme which includes the chance to study for relevant substantial qualifications, if appropriate, and English and Maths.
This programme is supported in partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation/Project Search and North Middlesex University Hospital.
For more information or to speak to a member of the Supported Internship/SEND team, please attend an Open Day.
The “study” element of this programme is limited to 1/2 hours per week. The main body of the programme is spent in rotations being supported to perform Job Roles within the Organisation.
