The course will cover essential business and administration basics, such as how to work in the office environment and how to use office equipment. You will also develop employability and independence skills, time management, communication skills and teamwork.

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
You will be assessed on your completed practical tasks, against industry standards. Written assessment will include multiple choice questions, paper-based exams and written assignments.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August prior to the start date of your course and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your programme then your study with us will be free. Please see here for the documents you will need to show us.

The course offers you the opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills to make you ready for work, an apprenticeship or further study at Level 2.

Business skilled, Mentor, Coach, and Academic - a zealous professional; pioneer in life-long learning with a breadth of knowledge, skills, and expertise within a variety of disciplines. As a Lecturer, Ruksana has taught BTEC Business Level 1, Level 2 and BTEC Level 3 Business course. In their role, they have prepared assignments, schemes of work and acted as an internal verifier for all courses that they have delivered. Currently an Advanced Practitioner – with a depth of experience & knowledge, coaching 10 teachers across all sites.
Ruksana is currently pursuing MPhil with University of Sunderland. Their research explores the ‘lived experiences’ of individual female students from a BAME background in FE - illuminating the stories of BAME women marginalised by social injustices, giving a voice to those who were not heard before.
