ABOUT THE COURSE

Basic Use of ICT is aimed at participants who may be using computers in their work, study or home. The qualification is ideal for those in employment, whether they are using IT as a significant part of their role or need to develop new skills to meet the demands of a changing workplace. The qualification is intended to provide a significant amount of the relevant knowledge,

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

The qualification is intended to provide a significant amount of the relevant knowledge, understanding and skills development that underpins occupational competence for IT users, offering the possibility to use MS Office packages at intermediate level.

You will learn skills in:

  • MS Word
  • MSExcel
  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Using MS Outlook/Intenet & Emails
  • File Management

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips.
