
This course is designed for adults with learning difficulties and additional needs. You will have the opportunity to further your skills in reading, writing and using numbers in everyday practical situations. You will receive a high level of support to improve your confidence and work towards applying these skills in real situations e.g. shopping.

There are no qualifications required but an Initial Assessment will be carried to ensure course appropriateness. Proof of support needs and/or previous support received.
You will be assessed through a variety of methods based on course requirements and individual needs.

Throughout the course, you will be gathering evidence/information in each unit. There are different methods that evidence can be gathered to meet individual needs.
Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. This course will provide confidence within maths and literacy and provide employability skills to help with day-to-day activities and in the workplace.
