
This apprenticeship is ideal if you have already completed the Level 2 qualification, or have some relevant experience and knowledge. If you choose gas-related units at Level 3 you will achieve the Gas Safe licence on successful completion of the course.
As an advanced apprentice, you will complete and oversee work to install, service, maintain and commission a variety of water, heating, and general plumbing-related activities. You will work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, and fault correction and be able to ensure your work meets the required standard.
Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, you could go on to study towards a Level 4 Foundation Degree in Building Services.

By the end of this apprenticeship, the candidate will have satisfied the requirements for registration as EngTech by the Engineering Council through The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) and or The Chartered Institute of Building ServicesEngineers (CIBSE).
On completion of the health and safety assessment, as determined, by the assessment plan, the candidate will have satisfied the requirements to obtain a Construction Skills CertificationScheme (CSCS) Card through the Joint Industry Board for Plumbing and MechanicalEngineering Services (JIB-PMES) at the appropriate grade.
