Skin Tanning Techniques - Level 2 Award

Skin Tanning Techniques Level 2 Award qualification has been designed to develop your practical skills to provide self-tanning services to specific areas of the body.

This course will develop your tanning application and beauty therapy skills and provide you with the foundation for further learning.

You will learn:

• How to apply skin tanning techniques
• Manual and spray tanning treatments
• How to use professional tanning products, tan guns and compressors
• About the contra-indications to tanning treatments, key ingredients and the benefits of the treatment

You will need:

• English at Level 1

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

You will be assessed on the practical work that you do in the beauty salon, as well as observations, an e-portfolio, on-line testing, assignments and oral questioning.

Adults - Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2

If you will be aged 19+ on 31st August prior to the start date of your course, up to Level 2, then your study with us will be free. You must have lived for 3 years within the EU/EEA/UK prior to the start of your course, you must have lived in the UK before 1st January 2021 and you must have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning. On successful completion of the course, you can develop your skills further through progression to:

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy (Make-Up)
