Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector - Level 1 Certificate (for ESOL Learners)

This course will develop your practical skills and introduce you to the hair and beauty industries.

You will learn how to present a professional image in the salon whilst allowing you to develop your English by combining your vocational qualification with an ESOL Entry Level 3 English qualification.

• Shampoo and conditioning
• Hair plaiting
• Skin care
• Hand care
• Hair styling

• English at Entry Level 2

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

You will be assessed on the practical work that you do in the hair salon, as well as assignments and oral questioning.

Adults - Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2

If you will be aged 19+ on 31st August prior to the start date of your course, up to Level 2, then your study with us will be free. You must have lived for 3 years within the EU/EEA/UK prior to the start of your course, you must have lived in the UK before 1st January 2021 and you must have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning. After successful completion of this course, you can progress to Level 2 Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing.
