
The creative media production and technoligy course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree level study or employment in the media industry. Students will work on Mac computers and explore a broad range of creative media disciplines and develop skills in e.g. studio photography, web design and video production.
You will learn about media processes and technology and develop skills in design and research. You will explore critical and contextual awareness in creative media production as well as investigate audio, visual and interactive production and technology. You will engage with an audience and prepare for progression.
Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English or Maths or an equivalent Level 2 qualification at Merit gade or above.
Your work will be internally assessed at the end of you first two assignment briefs in term 1 and 2. In the summer term you will work on a final major project which will be externally moderated and proposed grades at pass, merit and distinction will be confirmed.

You can progress onto a higher level course such as a degree at university or pursue employment in the creative industry.
