ABOUT THE COURSE

This course is tailored for intermediate learners who have some prior experience or understanding of Business and ICT, whether through prior study or practical experience. It focuses on advancing your skills in business management and the application of ICT tools in business environments, with an emphasis on problem-solving, data handling, and business communication.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

In this course, learners will:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of key business functions such as marketing, finance, and human resource management.
  • Learn to use more advanced ICT tools like database management systems and project management software.
  • Explore the role of ICT in business decision-making and strategy development.
  • Understand how to use ICT to enhance customer relations and streamline business operations.
  • Study the impact of emerging technologies like cloud computing and artificial intelligence on business processes.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

No formal entry requirements are needed for this course. However, it is recommended for learners who already have a basic understanding of Business and ICT or have completed an introductory course.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Learners will be assessed through:

  • Practical projects that involve the use of ICT in real-life business scenarios.
  • Case studies and business simulations.
  • Written reports and presentations on the use of ICT in business strategy and decision-making.
  • Peer assessments and group projects to encourage collaboration.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Aged 16-18


If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August prior to the start date of your course and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your programme then your study with us will be free. Please see here for the documents you will need to show us.

WHAT CAN I DO AFTER?

After completing this course, learners can progress to more advanced business or ICT qualifications or move into roles such as office manager, ICT support officer. The skills gained are also useful for those aspiring to managerial positions in various sectors. Learners may also choose to continue their education by enrolling in more specialized ICT or business management courses, in the following academic year.

MEET SOME OF THE TEACHERS

Desmond Corlis

Desmond is a former City solicitor who joined CCCG in 2013. He has a Business Law Degree from City University, a Masters in Education from UCL and an LPC from the College of Law. 

He brings professionalism and a wealth of experience to his role as acting Head of School for Business and ICT where he co-manages a team of 22 experienced teachers.

His energy and enthusiasm for making the student experience both developmental and enjoyable has produced exceptional results with learners progressing to their university of choice, first-class apprenticeship programmes and prestigious work opportunities at UK top 500 firms such as Google, and Price Waterhouse.

Desmond has been instrumental in forming important partnerships with key employers such as Arsenal FC, and LVN who provide learners with fantastic work experience opportunities. Enrichment activities include foreign trips to South Korea and domestic excursions to Thorpe Park, Google, and the Central Criminal Court.
