This introductory course is designed for Levels 2 and Level 3 learners who are new to the fields of Business and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). It provides a solid foundation by exploring fundamental concepts in both disciplines, bridging the gap between business operations and technology. The course aims to develop learners’ understanding of the importance of ICT in modern business environments, as well as its role in enhancing productivity, communication, and decision-making.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, making it accessible to all Level 2 and Level 3 learners who are interested in gaining an introduction to Business and ICT. Learners may also have the chance to resit Maths & or English GCSE.

If you will be aged 19+ on 31st August prior to the start date of your course, up to Level 2, then your study with us will be free. You must have lived for 3 years within the EU/EEA/UK prior to the start of your course, you must have lived in the UK before 1st January 2021 and you must have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning. Upon completion, learners will be well-prepared to progress to more advanced courses in Business or ICT. Potential career pathways include entry-level roles such as administrative assistant, data entry clerk, or junior business support roles. Learners may also choose to continue their education by enrolling in more specialized ICT or business management courses, in the following academic year.
Desmond is a former City solicitor who joined CCCG in 2013. He has a Business Law Degree from City University, a Masters in Education from UCL and an LPC from the College of Law.
He brings professionalism and a wealth of experience to his role as acting Head of School for Business and ICT where he co-manages a team of 22 experienced teachers.
His energy and enthusiasm for making the student experience both developmental and enjoyable has produced exceptional results with learners progressing to their university of choice, first-class apprenticeship programmes and prestigious work opportunities at UK top 500 firms such as Google, and Price Waterhouse.
Desmond has been instrumental in forming important partnerships with key employers such as Arsenal FC, and LVN who provide learners with fantastic work experience opportunities. Enrichment activities include foreign trips to South Korea and domestic excursions to Thorpe Park, Google, and the Central Criminal Court.
