About

A Construction Support Technician provides administrative and technical support to construction projects, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulations. They assist with project documentation, scheduling, and communication between teams while managing reports, tracking progress, and maintaining records.

The role of a Construction Support Technician often involves supporting procurement, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring health and safety documentation is up to date. Additionally, they liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to help keep projects on track.

Capital City College will run this programme over a 27-month timeframe, with a learning period of 24 months and an end-point assessment (EPA) of up to 3 months.

Training

This apprenticeship will cover:

  •  Diploma Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment
  •  Occupational duties (13 Knowledge, 11 Skills and 4 Behaviours)
  •  Optional: Functional Skills English and Maths Level 2

End Point Assessment

The End Point Assessment (3 Months) includes a technical report project (3000 Words), a question and answer (45 mins), and a Professional interview with a portfolio of evidence (60 mins).

Next Steps

Construction Support Technician Level 3 apprentices can progress to:

  • Higher roles in the construction industry roles such as Construction Project Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Quantity Surveyor Assistant, or Construction Manager, with further training
  •  Construction Site Supervisor Level 4 or Construction Quality Surveying Technician Level 4 apprenticeships
